Collection: Danner
Danner was founded in 1932 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, when Charles Danner began producing sturdy, affordable work boots. In 1936, the company moved to Portland, Oregon, to serve the loggers of the Pacific Northwest. Since then, Portland has remained the heart of the brand's manufacturing.
The turning point came in 1979 with the Danner Light, the first waterproof hiking boot made with a GORE-TEX membrane. Shortly after, the historic 6490 model became the Mountain Light, which remains the brand's icon to this day. Its leather upper, D-ring lacing, and stitchdown construction also allow it to be resoled multiple times over the years.
Alongside its trekking boots, the collection includes workwear-inspired boots like the Bull Run, featuring a moc toe and wedge sole. Models like the MTN45 Low, meanwhile, bring outdoor technology to a low profile with a fit inspired by trail running.
Today, Danner blends craftsmanship with innovation, engaging with both the outdoor world and urban heritage style. This is why its models work just as well on the trails as they do in everyday looks. Explore the Danner collection and find the boot that combines American heritage with waterproof protection.
