October 25, 2024 | Dolly Noire "World Pasta Day"
World Pasta Day, a day in Bari with Nunzia from Bari Vecchia and the rapper from Bari Young Hash 25 October 2024
On Friday 25 October, starting at 5pm, in the Banana Moon store in Bari, on the occasion of World Pasta Day, a special event will be held featuring Nunzia, a famous pasta maker from Bari Vecchia who became famous for her orecchiette, and the rapper from Bari, Young Hash.
During the evening it will be possible to meet and chat with the young 23-year-old musician and attend the workshop held by Nunzia, who will prepare live the orecchiette baresi and offer them to the participants for a taste. The background will be the dj-set of Adriano Santamaria, aka Holyghetto, a young dj from Bari born in '99 known for his originality both in musical research and in mixing techniques.
Participation in the event, organized in collaboration with the streetwear brand Dolly Noire, will be possible by purchasing any item from the Milanese brand, which to celebrate World Pasta Day has created a special t-shirt with Nunzia's photo printed on the chest, available in a super limited edition only at Banana Moon and on the website bananabenz.it.
Nunzia Caputo is “the lady of orecchiette” of Bari Vecchia, known on social media as the queen of pasta makers in the ancient village of the capital of Puglia. She is in fact one of the historic preparers of the pasta symbol of Puglia, orecchiette, which she has been making by hand since she was a child, as her grandmother and mother taught her, always there in her house on via Arco Basso, now a fixed destination for hordes of tourists. A supporter of the values expressed by regional tradition, she is nevertheless always ready to explore new cultures and flavors that she then loves to tell her over one hundred thousand followers.
Young Hash, aka Angelo Nicola Chiarelli, is a rapper from Bari who is an exponent of the new Apulian scene that is slowly establishing itself in the Italian underground scene. He grew up inspired by the flow and attitude of American trap, to which he has added Apulian sayings, cadences and clichés in his lyrics, forging a genuine, technical and irreverent style. The self-proclaimed “Checco Zalone of Italian trap” transforms the “hoes” and “bicthes” of trap clichés into “La pupa” and “La zia”, and it is no longer diamonds and designer clothes that set the artist's lifestyle, but rather dinners based on mussels and raw fish by the sea. Young Hash's desire is to convey the genuine beauty of the South and of those who live there, without ever taking himself too seriously and, at the same time, without ever becoming parodic.
During the event, all adults will also be offered wine from the Terre di San Vito cellars.
